First step in See and Learn Language and Reading now available
Preview versions of all of the resources for See and Learn First Word Pictures – the first step in the See and Learn Language and Reading programme – are now available for free download.
This first step is designed for children who are at the first stage of learning language. It contains activities to help children learn 60 common first words using pictures.
This step also prepares children for learning to read by developing their visual skills through matching activities that they will use during later stages.
The online resources available for preview include guidance materials for this step, full instructions for the activities, picture cards, baseboards and record sheets.
Good progress is also being made preparing resources for the next two steps in the Language and Reading programme – See and Learn First Written Words and See and Learn More Word Pictures. Preview versions of these resources are expected to be available online before Christmas 2008.
do you use British sign language? do you have research on documenting the vocabulary growth of these children?
